Free Drop-in Art Activities at Fall Open House
Parents, caregivers, and children welcome! The San Francisco Children’s Art Center will hold a FREE Open House in its Fort Mason Center studio on Sunday, September 12. Drop-in art activities for children of any age as well as refreshments for families will be provided, and a photography exhibition of creative development will be on display.
This event marks the kick-off of the Children’s Art Center’s Fall Session programs, which include process-oriented art classes for toddlers and preschoolers, as well as topic-oriented after school classes for elementary school students. Fall classes will be held Monday through Saturday, through mid-December. Children’s Art Center Teaching Artists, Board members, volunteers, family and friends will be on hand at the event to facilitate art activities and discuss our programs. All are welcome to attend.

Pregnancy After a Loss Support Group
If you are pregnant again after a loss, you may have unique emotional needs as you grieve your lost child(ren) while preparing for the birth of a new baby.
Our support group addresses in a safe, open environment, the concerns of bereaved parents who have started another pregnancy. Please join us to share information, feelings and support with other parents who are pregnant after miscarriage, stillbirth or infant death. Parents who are considering a subsequent pregnancy are also welcome. Partners are especially encouraged to attend.
The group facilitator, Cherie Golant, LCSW is a
licensed clinical social worker specializing in trauma and loss, and also a bereaved parent with two subsequent children.
This group is offered at no charge and on a drop in basis. Please call Newborn Connections at (415) 600-2229 or email cpmcnewborn@sutterhealth.org for more information.
This group meets on the third Wednesday of the month, unless otherwise indicated, from 7:00-9:00pm.
